Popees Baby Care Products Limited is preparing to expand its presence across India, leveraging its established market position, manufacturing infrastructure and growing business in the baby and kidswear segment, as per media reports.
The Kerala-based company, which operates under the Popees baby and kidswear brand, reported a nearly 20% increase in revenue from operations to ₹161.93 crore in FY26, compared with ₹135.30 crore in the previous financial year. Net profit rose by around 14% to ₹8.37 crore from ₹7.37 crore in FY25, strengthening its financial position as it pursues further expansion.
Popees operates three manufacturing facilities across Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, with a combined installed production capacity of approximately nine lakh sets per month. Its manufacturing capabilities, supported by an established retail and distribution network, provide a base for extending its reach into new markets across the country.
“Our ambition is to take Popees beyond its established markets in South India and build a stronger national presence across the baby care and kidswear segments. With a diversified product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities across three states and a brand built over more than two decades, we are well positioned to reach more families across India. The proposed integration with the listed entity is an important step in this journey, providing a platform to scale our operations, expand our reach and build long-term value for our customers and shareholders,” said Shaju Thomas, Managing Director, Popees Baby Care India Limited.
Popees Baby Care is targeting a network of 1,000 stores over the next four years, alongside plans to enter markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
