Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited (ABLBL), a part of the Aditya Birla Group, has appointed Preeti Gupta as Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Van Heusen Innerwear. Gupta, an alumna of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), brings over 25 years of leadership experience across intimate wear, fashion, and digital-first retail.
Gupta began her career with Madura Garments (ABFRL), where she led the Allen Solly Womenswear portfolio to profitability within two years and contributed to the Esprit merchandising function during its initial operations in India. At Reliance Retail, she was part of the founding leadership team of Reliance Trends, where she built and scaled the women’s western wear and non-apparel business, developed private labels, and established merchandising and sourcing systems for mass retail.
She later headed the licensing business for Tommy Hilfiger India, overseeing category expansion and channel development. Gupta then served as Chief Operating Officer at Enamor (Modenik Lifestyle), leading a significant brand transformation that tripled business revenues and improved profitability. Her initiatives included repositioning the brand, launching new categories, and modernising the retail identity.
Prior to joining ABLBL, Gupta was Chief Business Officer – Owned Brands at Nykaa Fashion, where she launched and scaled Nykd by Nykaa to an annual run rate exceeding ₹200 crore, expanded the brand’s offline presence to over 2,000 retail outlets, and drove profitable growth across Nykaa’s portfolio of owned labels.
In her new role, Gupta will lead brand strategy, product expansion, and retail growth for Van Heusen Innerwear, a category with strong market equity in the men’s segment and growing presence in women’s wear.
The appointment reinforces ABLBL’s commitment to strengthening leadership depth and driving growth in India’s rapidly expanding ₹55,000-crore innerwear and comfort wear market, which continues to grow at 12–15% annually.
