'The Pitch Room' to play matchmaker between start-ups and investors at Indian Retail & eRetail Congress 2015

Franchise India Holdings Ltd and Applyifi have collaborated to organise ‘The Pitch Room’ on 17th and 18th April at the Indian Retail & eRetail Congress and Awards 2015 (IRC). Powered by Retailer Magazine and in media association with TIMES NOW & FICCI, the event will take place at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon.

Applyifi is a private platform for start-ups to create a comprehensive investor pitch deck and get an assessment report and scorecard on their investment worthiness. Using the scorecard and online pitch deck, start-ups can apply to multiple investors.

The Pitch Room will be an exclusive platform for high potential companies, who have demonstrable products and are looking to raise investments/mentorship. It aims to simplify business funding and investment process. Companies/start-ups will come face-to-face with India's leading investors to discuss their innovative business ideas, structure deals, and network and develop a mutually beneficial relationship for success.

According to Ritu Marya, Editor-in-Chief, Franchise India, “Funding will continue to be a game changer for start-ups in the coming years. The Pitch Room is an ideal platform for start-ups in consumer brand, eRetail, internet, and technology space. The platform will enable start-ups and investors discuss innovative ideas, structure deals, and find mutual synergies.”

During the session, companies from different areas of retail space including Consumer Packaged Goods, Consumer Internet, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, mCommerce, Retail Tech and Fulfillment etc., will pitch their business ideas to potential investors, accelerators and incubators.

According to Prajakt Raut, Founder, Applyifi, “Platforms like ‘The Pitch Room’ at the Indian Retail Congress 2015 will help start-ups in retail space connect with investors who are interested in that space. Moreover, our curation and match-making process will ensure that there is a match of interests making the connect more meaningful for start-ups as well as for investors. The session will also have a mentoring clinic, where investorswill be matched to the ventures according to their specific interest like sector, size and stage, based on Applyifi’s Assessment Report and 36 point Scorecard.
