Infosys Technologies has announced that it has been awarded an e-Biz project by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The government of India aims to create a customer-centric environment, providing the business community convenient and speedy access to information and services through the e-Biz project.
The e-Biz Project is among the 27 Central, State and Integrated Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the National E-Governance Plan (NEGP) of the Government of India. This project will cater to the requirements of businesses for government-to-business (G2B) services throughout the business life cycle, namely, through pre-establishment, commencement, operations, expansion and when required, closure stages of business. The project includes building the support IT infrastructure, and implementing, maintaining and expanding the e-Biz solution and services for the next ten years. Infosys claims to undertake training, workshops, promotion and awareness campaigns.
