Swiss confectionery and bakery brand Confiserie Bachmann is set to enter India through a franchise partnership with CK Israni Group. Established in Switzerland in 1897, the family-owned business specialises in pâtisserie, confectionery, chocolate and bakery products. Details of its India launch, including the first outlet’s location and opening date, will be announced at a later stage.
Now led by its fourth generation, Bachmann brings more than 125 years of experience in Swiss confectionery and bakery to the Indian market. The partnership will add to CK Israni Group’s portfolio of international food and hospitality brands.
Matthias & Raphael Bachmann, Owners, Confiseur Bachmann AG, Lucerne, Switzerland, said, “We are proud to have found the ideal franchise partner in the CK Israni Group to establish the Bachmann brand in India. Since 1897, our handcrafted Swiss chocolate specialties have stood for the highest quality, traditional craftsmanship, and uncompromising indulgence. Together with the CK Israni Group, we look forward to making our exceptional Swiss delicacies available to consumers in India and successfully establishing the Bachmann brand in the Indian market.”
The collaboration strengthens CK Israni Group’s premium brand portfolio with an established European bakery and confectionery name. Bachmann will be introduced to the Indian market while preserving its existing brand identity and heritage.
Chandni Nath Israni, Co-Founder & Managing Director, CK Israni Group, said, “Bachmann is the kind of legacy brand we believe has a natural relevance in India today. It is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and family tradition, while still being contemporary and distinctive in the way it presents itself. Indian consumers are increasingly looking for brands with genuine provenance and a story that extends beyond the product and we believe Bachmann has all the ingredients to build a meaningful presence here.”
Details regarding Bachmann’s first Indian location, launch schedule and proposed business operations in the country are yet to be announced.
