Lab-grown diamond (LGD) jewellery brand Limelight Diamonds has crossed 100 stores across 45 cities in India, timing the milestone with Dussehra.
The brand’s stores are spread across major metros as well as emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, reflecting the shift in preferences among India’s jewellery buyers and the growing interest in lab-grown diamonds for a range of occasions.
Founder and Managing Director Pooja Madhavan said the milestone was a proud moment for the company and a sign of the potential of India’s LGD sector.
“What excites me most is that our journey has just begun,” she said, adding that with a strong base now established in India, the company is looking at opportunities overseas. Madhavan said Limelight’s goal is to become a globally recognised jewellery brand and take India to the world.
Karamjyot Chawla, Director – Retail Expansion, said the company’s priority goes beyond adding outlets. “Our focus is not merely on increasing the number of stores, but on establishing Limelight as a trusted diamond jewellery destination in every market we enter,” he said.
Chawla added that with a growing nationwide presence and a strong pipeline, the company is preparing for its next phase of growth, including entry into international markets. The 200-store target underlines the company’s confidence in the rising acceptance of lab-grown diamond jewellery in India. Limelight positions its offering as accessible luxury, with an emphasis on design, transparency and informed diamond choices for consumers.
The brand said its long-term aim is to become the largest LGD retailer, champion the ‘Make in India’ vision for lab-grown diamonds, and establish the category as a mainstream part of jewellery culture in India and globally.
