Samsung India sings MoA with the Government Industrial Training Institute to set up technical Institute in Kalamassery.
To set up technical school at ITI in Kalamassery, Samsung India has signed Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Government Industrial Training Institute, Kalamassery. The MoA was singned in the presence of Shibu Baby John, Labour Minister. It was signed by A Shainamol, Director, Kerala Industrial Training Department and Rajiv Mishra, vice-president, Samsung India Electronics. Till now, there are 15 technical schools in the country.
The Samsung Technical School will enable students to get training in trade-specific that is on various aspects of repair and troubleshooting of consumer electronic products such as mobile phones, televisions, home theatres and home appliances. The course will also offer students the opportunity to get real-time work experience at Samsung authorised service centres and training on soft skills so that they can provide exemplary customer service.
Upon graduation, students can join consumer electronics and mobile phone service centres or become entrepreneurs by setting up their service centres. On this occasion Mishra said that the knowledge and skills that students gain through the ARISE programme help not only in finding employment in the industry, but also in setting up micro or small enterprises.
