MSME Task force meeting to be held on Tuesday

The final meeting of the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) task force appointed by the PM has been rescheduled to January 12, 2009, Tuesday. It was to be held on Saturday after which the report of the sub-committees was to be submitted to the Prime Ministers Office.

The task force was constituted last year to discuss and suggest measures on shortage of credit, need for a focused procurement policy, prompt payment of MSME dues, additional finances from SIDBI, simplification of labour laws to prevent inspector raj, formulation of a one-time settlement policy for helping the MSME sector.
