MS Dhoni has deepened his association with House of Biryan (HOB), moving from a strategic investor to its official brand ambassador.
After joining the company’s cap table in early 2025, his expanded role comes at a time when the cloud kitchen brand is looking to scale operations and strengthen its presence across both domestic and international markets.
House of Biryan operates a tech-enabled model focused on standardisation and consistency across its kitchens. From a single outlet, the company has grown to over 25 locations across Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai, serving more than 10 million orders to date. It is now targeting ₹500 crore in revenue over the next four to five years.
“Consistency under pressure comes from strong processes. HOB has built a model where quality doesn’t depend on the outlet or the time of day. That’s very similar to how high-performing teams operate in sport," said Dhoni.
The company’s “Meri Wali Biryani” model allows customers to customise elements such as protein, spice levels, and cuts, contributing to a reported repeat customer rate of 45%. Its international expansion strategy is anchored in the Middle East, with Dubai serving as a key hub.
House of Biryan’s investor base includes names such as Shardul Thakur, Rannvijay Singha, and Amol Parashar, along with institutional backers including Al Siraj Holdings and Angel Star Ventures.
“MS Dhoni represents everything we stand for, discipline, consistency, and performance at scale. His journey with HOB began as an investor who challenged our systems and numbers. His decision to step in as brand ambassador validates the strength of our operating model and our global vision for biryani,” highlights co-founders.
Launched in 2022, House of Biryan was founded by Mohammed Bhol and Mikhail Shahani, with Mohit Goyal joining as co-founder in 2025. The company positions itself as a process-driven food-tech brand focused on scaling Indian cuisine globally.
