Ahead of the festive season, Flipkart has significantly expanded its supply chain network across India, adding new fulfilment centres, last-mile hubs, and micro-fulfilment facilities aimed at boosting delivery speed and regional accessibility. The expansion spans 35 lakh sq. ft. and is expected to generate over 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs, reinforcing the e-commerce giant's readiness for the festive surge.
The new facilities have been launched in key cities such as Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra, and Agartala, extending Flipkart’s reach to over 21,000 pincodes. In Uttar Pradesh, the company inaugurated fulfilment centres in Varanasi, Agra, and Ghaziabad, while Bihar's Patna received a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. centre that alone serves more than 1,000 pincodes and creates 1,100+ jobs.
A major highlight is the launch of a 140-acre Regional Distribution Centre in Manesar, Haryana, expected to generate over 10,000 jobs and support the movement of large products, including furniture and white goods.
In a strategic push to serve India’s Northeast, Flipkart introduced its first grocery fulfilment centre in Agartala, with a daily dispatch capacity of 5,000 orders. Additional last-mile infrastructure has been rolled out in Guwahati, Singur, and Saidham, enhancing the platform’s final delivery capabilities.
“Our expanded infrastructure not only accelerates delivery but also enables job creation at scale,” said Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President and Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience & Re-Commerce at Flipkart Group. He emphasized Flipkart’s inclusive hiring strategy, which focuses on women, persons with disabilities, and first-time workers.
In addition to large fulfilment hubs, Flipkart is aggressively developing its quick commerce network, with 400 new micro-fulfilment centres and dark stores launched across 19 cities to support its fast-growing Flipkart Minutes service. The platform, which delivers essentials and festive items within minutes, is currently doubling its order volumes every 45 days.
To support its frontline workforce during the peak season, Ekart, Flipkart’s logistics arm, in partnership with NReach Online Services, has rolled out health camps under its Suraksha wellness programme. These camps offer screenings for diabetes, cardiac issues, and kidney and liver health, benefiting over 6,000 warehouse associates. In 2025 alone, Suraksha has supported 1.7 lakh workers and facilitated 18 lakh minutes of doctor consultations.
With a strengthened network of over 100 fulfilment centres nationwide, Flipkart is poised to handle millions of festive orders, empowering regional economies and delivering faster, more affordable shopping experiences to consumers across India.
