The West Bengal government has set up a committee to identify problems faced by the micro, small and medium enterprises(MSMEs) in the state.
Mr. Manas Bhuniya is expecting the report in three weeks. “Once the report is submitted, we can work on solving problems faced by the sector”, he said.
The interaction was organised by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by the departmental secretary, Mr Anup Chanda.
As per the fourth Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Censusu 2008-09, there were over 25 lakh registered MSMEs employing nearly 59 lakh people in the state.
The Minister assured entrepreneurs that “specific complaints” will be taken up on a case-to-case basis and looked into individually.
