The recommendations made by the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) task force will be implemented within the next six months, said Dinsha J. Patel, the MSME Minister of State in a press conference.
The minister said that for these measures to become successful their implementation status should be monitored regularly at the highest level. This can be ensured by bringing various government departments to work over the suggestions of the task force. “The issues are simply too diverse to be handled by a single line Ministry,” he added.
The Task Force has recommended the setting-up of Prime Minister’s Council on Micro and Small Enterprises in the Prime Minister’s Office to oversee the implementation of these recommendations on a half yearly basis.
