Leading IT solutions provider Mphasis today announced the appointment of Dr Jai Ganesh as Vice President & Head of Mphasis Next Labs.
Mphasis Next Labs is a strategic initiative by Mphasis to research and innovate on emergent and future paradigms related to Mphasis' focus areas through disruptive world class innovations, thought leadership and industry relevant solutions. Mphasis Next Labs focuses on effectively leveraging innovations in business & technology to drive creative disruptions. Mphasis Next Labs is an interdisciplinary group that explores application of fundamental principles, models and theories from mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, operations research, psychology, economics and computer science to drive innovation and deliver business value
In his current role, Jai will lead Mphasis Next Labs to focus on disruptive and transformational innovations in the SMAC (Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud), IoT and Automation space through applied research, IP Creation, thought leadership and new product, service, platform and solution development. Mphasis Next Labs will work with Academia, Research Labs, Start-ups and New Technology Partners.

Dr Jai Ganesh has extensive experience in inventing, conceptualizing, building and commercializing successful product and service innovations across SMAC (Social, Mobility, Analytics & Cloud) areas. Jai has extensive experience in IP creation, thought leadership, global academic collaborations and building world class partner innovation eco-systems. Jai has four granted patents, over twenty patent applications and has published in a number of leading peer reviewed journals and conferences.
Dr Jai Ganesh joins Mphasis from Cognizant Technology Solutions where he was the Director, SMAC Solutions. In his role Jai had leadership responsibilities in the SMAC (Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud) space across innovation, technology strategy, research, IP Creation, thought leadership and new product development. He led the creation of the Customer Engagement Platform, which is a patent pending Big Data Analytics platform that transforms enterprise decision making.
Prior to Cognizant, Jai was the Principal Research Scientist for Infosys Ltd where he headed the Pervasive Computing Institute in Infosys and led innovation, technology strategy, research, IP creation, thought leadership, product and service innovations. He conceptualized and led the development of the first patented product for Web Accessibility Assessment and Remediation. He has led product and service innovations around Social Media Strategy, Social Network Analysis, Organisational Network Analysis, Augmented Reality, Key influencers identification, Linked Data Graph Traversal etc.
Dr Jai Ganesh is a PhD from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). He is a recipient of the Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Fellowship at the University of Oxford.
