The small industries development bank of India (SIDBI) has signed a series of agreements with the German Government's Development Bank, KfW, seeking financial assistance for promoting usage of energy efficient technologies by the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India.
As per the agreement, KfW will provide concessional loan and technical assistance to support financing of environmental investments in the MSME sector by SIDBI. The financial assistance amounts to EURO 89.2 million (approx. Rs 622 crore).
The agreement supports SIDBI’s efforts to strengthen the MSME sector.
