SS: Tell us about your company, when did you start it and where all are you located?
PD: We started the company in 1999, Puretech Internet, with its award-winning expertise, and by following international best practices, is providing clients with innovative, integrated web-based solutions.
Puretech is headquartered in Mumbai, with 2 units. Our dynamic team of talented and skilled professionals has diverse experience and expertise in IT, marketing, business, and design.
Our first client was Cine Blitz, the film magazine. We have today almost all big names with us like BNP Paribas, Stanford University, Yahoo, CRISIL and Mc Donalds etc.
SS: How did you fund the business initially?
PD: My family helped me with the initial investment of 60-70 odd lakhs.

SS: What’s your staff size and what were the initial challenges of hiring the first set?
PD: We have a total of 60 people. It was challenging at first to find the people as there was IT boom and a lack of skilled staff. Now the scene is totally different.
SS: What’s your marketing and promotional strategy?
PD: First we started with advertising on net, then as the client based increased and they started to do the word of mouth publicity we started to get noticed. We have a flexible advertising and marketing strategy like any other company in similar business.
SS: When did you break even?
PD: In the third year.
SS: How do you stay ahead in competition?
