myGold is building India's first organised Gold Collection & Activation Network. It connects dormant gold held by households, temples, businesses and institutions with the productive economy through a trusted, transparent and technology-enabled platform.
Founded in 2021 as a 100% bootstrapped, promoter-family-backed business, myGold leverages 30+ years of jewellery-industry expertise of Founder & CEO Amol Bansal (BK Saraf Jewellers family).
The company enables customers to Sell Old Gold (transparent testing, live market pricing, instant payment), Lease Gold, Buy & Save Gold, and Activate Idle Gold, supported by secure custody (myVault), full insurance and institutional-grade documentation.
Its first physical Gold Collection & Activation Centre was launched in Lucknow in June 2025 and has validated the model with an organic run-rate of ~800 g–1 kg Sell-Old-Gold per month with minimal advertising.
myGold operates on a capital-efficient FOCO (Franchise Owned, Company Operated) model: the franchisee invests in and owns the centre assets and franchise rights, while myGold fully manages location selection, fit-out, staffing, technology, compliance, rent, marketing and day-to-day operations (franchisee monthly operating cost = ₹0).
The operating ecosystem is backed by institutional partners including MMTC-PAMP (refining), IBJA (leasing), Sequel / BVC (logistics) and ICICI / HDFC (banking & payouts).
National expansion target: ~100 centres in 18–24 months, ~500 centres in 4–5 years, and 1,000+ centres in the long term.
