Titan Clocks 41% Q1 Revenue Growth on Festive Demand
The Tata Group company attributed the strong performance to robust growth across its jewellery, watches and eyewear businesses.

Strong festive demand during the April–June quarter helped Titan Co. Ltd. deliver a 41 per cent year-on-year revenue growth in Q1 FY27, marking its third consecutive quarter of over 40 per cent revenue expansion.

The Tata Group company attributed the strong performance to robust growth across its jewellery, watches and eyewear businesses. The momentum follows a 40 per cent increase in standalone revenue in the December quarter of FY26, which further accelerated to 46 per cent in the March quarter.

Titan's jewellery division, which accounts for nearly 91.5 per cent of the company's annual revenue of over Rs 75,000 crore, recorded a 39 per cent revenue growth during the April–June quarter of FY27.

The company said the growth was driven by strong festive demand and a buoyant Akshaya Tritiya season, supported by relatively stable gold prices. Its jewellery portfolio includes brands such as Tanishq, Mia, Zoya, beYon and CaratLane.

According to the company's regulatory filing, buyer growth remained in the early double digits, while average ticket sizes increased in high double digits during the quarter, reflecting sustained consumer demand across key categories.

"Amidst (relatively) stable gold prices, the portfolio buyer growth came in early double-digits and the average ticket sizes grew in high double-digits. The core jewellery categories of plain and studded grew (individually) in the mid-thirties with coins continuing its investment-led strong double-digit growth momentum during this period," Titan said in its quarterly business update.

Titan's non-jewellery businesses also posted healthy growth during the quarter, with its watches and eyewear segments each recording a 23 per cent increase in revenue.

The watches business was led by strong demand for analogue timepieces, which grew in the high twenties, reflecting the continuing premiumisation trend. However, the company's smartwatches segment declined in the low teens during the quarter.

The EyeCare division also delivered 23 per cent growth, driven by sustained momentum across both owned and international brands, targeted marketing initiatives, and increased consumer purchases across multiple pairs and product categories, the company said in its regulatory filing.

Among Titan's emerging businesses, overall revenue grew 19 per cent. The fragrances portfolio expanded in the mid-teens, the women's bags business registered strong double-digit growth, while ethnic wear brand Taneira posted low single-digit growth.

Titan's international business emerged as a standout performer, registering a 128 per cent year-on-year growth, largely led by its jewellery operations. The company said its combined jewellery brands—Tanishq, Mia and CaratLane—recorded strong traction in North America and encouraging double-digit growth across the GCC region. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, the core Damas business continued to witness a gradual recovery across key operating parameters.

Titan is a joint venture between the Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
