Onida Electronics Ltd., one of India’s iconic consumer electronics brands, has launched new ONIDA SmartHub exclusive brand outlets in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. The openings mark the next step in the brand’s plan to build a stronger presence in regional markets under its Onida Rewired transformation journey.
The expansion is part of Onida’s wider retail strategy to strengthen its distribution network and bring its products closer to consumers beyond the metros. The company is targeting more than 100 exclusive retail stores across India over the next 12 to 18 months, with a focus on emerging urban centres and Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
The ONIDA SmartHub format brings together the brand’s key product categories, including LED TVs, air conditioners and washing machines, under one roof in a dedicated brand environment. Customers can explore the full range and get product assistance in one place, while exclusive EMI schemes at the new outlets aim to make purchases more affordable.
The Meerut SmartHub, operated by franchise partner Royal Trading, spans 900 sq. ft. and is located at 390, Krishna Nagar, Roorkee Road, near Rapid Rail Pillar No. 1795. The Tirupur SmartHub, operated by RR Electronics, spans 500 sq. ft. and is located at No. 2, Velliyankadu Main Road, Santhapettai Bus Stop, near Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tirupur 641604. Both stores will be supported by dedicated Onida sales representatives working alongside the franchisee teams.
