Exicom, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and critical power solutions, has launched Harmony Direct 2.0, a new DC fast charger powered by Harmony OS—the first indigenously developed operating system for EV chargers in India. This innovative charger marks a significant step toward enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of EV charging infrastructure across the country.
Harmony Direct 2.0 enables seamless charger-to-vehicle-to-cloud communication and incorporates sensor-based diagnostics and AI-enabled remote charger management. These advanced features reduce downtime and increase reliability for charging station operators.
Anant Nahata, Managing Director and CEO of Exicom, stated that Harmony Direct 2.0 reflects the company’s commitment to operational robustness and an improved user experience. He emphasized the importance of building trust in charging infrastructure to accelerate EV adoption in India.
Anshuman Divyanshu, CEO of Exicom’s EVSE business, highlighted that Harmony Direct 2.0 is designed to cater to the operational needs of both charge point operators and fleet operators, delivering efficiency and intelligence to support network expansion.
Key features of the charger include dynamic load sharing between plugs, real-time energy optimization to minimize reactive power losses, and Harmony Net technology for intelligent load management across multiple chargers. The charger also supports multi-stack charging logic and offers a user interface modeled after smartphones, along with an ergonomic cable and connector design for ease of use.
With this launch, Exicom aims to overcome major barriers to EV adoption by providing infrastructure that meets present demands and is adaptable to future requirements.
Exicom operates across both AC and DC charging segments and also provides critical power solutions essential for telecom infrastructure. With a strong presence in India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe, and over 150,000 chargers installed globally, Exicom plays a key role in the global transition toward sustainable transportation.
