Under its Reimagine strategy, Jaguar Land Rover is preparing its UK facilities for EV production and aims to electrify its entire lineup by the end of the decade.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is accelerating efforts to launch electric versions across all its brands by 2030, as part of its long-term ‘Reimagine’ strategy. This announcement was made by Tata Motors Chairman N. Chandrasekaran in the company’s 80th Integrated Annual Report.

Chandrasekaran stated that JLR has completed the transformation of its UK manufacturing plants to support electric vehicle production. This development marks a significant step toward JLR’s ambition of becoming a modern luxury electric vehicle brand and achieving carbon net-zero across its operations and supply chain by 2039.

The company is upgrading its manufacturing infrastructure to accommodate upcoming all-electric models, including the next-generation electric Range Rover and an all-new electric Jaguar series.

Despite industry headwinds, JLR posted a strong financial performance in FY 2024-25. The company reported consolidated revenues of £29 billion, maintaining stable growth year-over-year. It also achieved its targeted adjusted EBIT margin of 8.5% and ended the fiscal year with a positive net cash position, reflecting improved operational efficiency and financial strength.

“JLR delivered a robust financial performance and notable operational progress in FY25,” Chandrasekaran said.

As the luxury automotive sector pivots toward sustainability and electrification, JLR is positioning itself at the intersection of design, technology, and environmental responsibility. The Reimagine strategy remains central to this vision, with electrification playing a key role.

JLR’s Chief Commercial Officer Leonard Hoornik recently expressed confidence in the brand’s future in India, stating that the company’s business in the country could double over the next three years. He attributed this potential to JLR’s strong product lineup and a capable local team. In 2024, JLR recorded a 40% growth in India, selling 6,183 units, ranking it third in the premium segment.

The company also aims to expand its reach in India by doubling its dealer network. Currently, JLR operates just over 20 touchpoints in the country, far fewer than rivals like Mercedes-Benz and Audi India.

Local assembly has played a pivotal role in JLR’s growth in India. Since initiating local assembly of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport last year, sales of these models have surged 2.5 times.
