Honeyman, the Indian honey-first food and beverage brand with a network of 100+ outlets and franchises across India, has announced its international debut with a country franchise agreement for Nepal. The brand has partnered with MV Dugar Group, one of Nepal's established business houses, to take its honey-led offerings to Nepali consumers.
Known for its ice cream sweetened entirely with real honey and made without refined sugar, Honeyman will enter Nepal with its full multi-format model rather than a single product. The rollout will begin with ice cream parlours and cafés in Kathmandu, followed by bakery, tea and beverage formats, and a packaged range of honey, spreads and confectionery. The brand will then expand in phases to other major cities in Nepal. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The move comes at a time when Nepal's ice cream market is on a steady growth path. Valued at around USD 189 million in 2025, the market is expected to reach about USD 263 million by 2032, driven by growing demand for premium and healthier products.
Speaking on the partnership, Yuvraj Kapoor, Co-Founder, Honeyman, said, "Our family has worked with honey since 1984. Taking Honeyman to Nepal is therefore much more than opening another market; it is the beginning of taking our honey-first philosophy to international consumers."
Shubham Dugar, Executive Director, MV Dugar Group, added, "Honeyman gives us a differentiated proposition. We see significant potential to develop the Honeyman ecosystem in Nepal over the coming years."
Honeyman's story began in 1984, when Sardar Jagjit Singh started a family beekeeping and honey enterprise. Over four decades, the business has grown into a multi-format consumer brand with concepts such as Honeyman Ice Cream, Honeyman Bakers, Chai+, Boba and the flagship World of Honeyman, along with an FMCG portfolio of honey, jams, gummies, sauces, kombucha and Indian sweets.
For the brand, Nepal is the first step towards a larger goal of building a "bee economy," creating consumer businesses around honey and bee-derived products across food, beverages and retail. With close trade links and similar consumer tastes, Nepal offers a natural starting point for Honeyman's global journey, as the brand prepares for its next phase of growth in India and overseas.
