GTGO, the Korean F&B platform behind GOPIZZA, Gochujang and Dalkomi, is bringing Bibigo Bapsang to India through an exclusive strategic partnership with CJ Foods, a global leader in Korean food and the company behind bibigo, a global leading Korean food brand. With a strong international presence, CJ Foods is now bringing bibigo bapsang, its QSR concept, to India for the first time.
Three outlets will open in Bengaluru, marking bibigo bapsang’s India debut and the start of its planned national rollout. Since entering India five years ago, GTGO has grown from its flagship GOPIZZA business into a broader Korean F&B platform, with over 65+ stores across GOPIZZA, Gochujang (Korean street food) and Dalkomi (Korean dessert brand). Its established local operations and experience in building Korean food brands will support the rollout of bibigo bapsang across the country.
Under the exclusive arrangement, CJ Foods will fund the bibigo bapsang outlets in India, while GTGO will operate and scale the brand across the country.
The India launch will include both standalone dine-in restaurants and food-court outlets, giving bibigo bapsang the flexibility to cater to different dining preferences and settings. The formats will bring the traditional bapsang-style meal to Indian consumers through a contemporary Korean dining experience.
Bibigo bapsang will primarily target Gen Z and younger consumers in India, particularly audiences who engage with Korean food, culture and entertainment. The concept aims to introduce Korean food into everyday dining occasions for a younger, digitally engaged audience.
Mahesh Reddy, Co-Founder and CEO of GTGO, said: "Bengaluru has always been a special market with a vibrant crowd that is ready to try new things. These stores are more than new locations; they are another step towards making high-quality, approachable Korean food a regular part of everyday life for more people across India."
Spokesperson from CJ Foods says: "In Bengaluru, we aim to offer a fun, approachable Korean dining experience through customisable meal sets and bibimbap. By combining CJ Foods' leading brand and product expertise with GTGO's deep local-market understanding and agile execution, we will bring the value of Korean food to more consumers across India."
CJ Foods sees India as an important market for the next phase of its global K-food expansion. Through bibigo bapsang, the company aims to bring its Korean food expertise to Indian consumers while working with GTGO to build the brand’s presence across key markets in the country.
