Ahead of The Big Billion Days and the festive season, Flipkart is strengthening Ekart’s supply chain with additional warehousing, delivery hubs and technology upgrades across the country. Ekart has added 14 million cubic feet of warehousing space, increasing storage capacity by 50%, while automation has raised peak processing capacity by more than 30%.
More than 900 delivery hubs have also been added to strengthen last-mile reach and support same-day and next-day deliveries. This takes Ekart’s network to over 8,200 facilities, including fulfilment centres, sortation hubs and delivery operations, alongside nearly 1,200 Flipkart Minutes micro-fulfilment centres across 150-plus cities.
To support MSMEs, small sellers, weavers and artisans during The Big Billion Days, over 2.5 crore product units have been pre-positioned at Ekart fulfilment centres. Another 70 pick-up stations have been added in key seller hubs to reduce fulfilment time. Ekart’s 3PL franchise network has also doubled to 600 within two months of its launch.
Ekart has expanded Flipkart’s reach to more than 750 additional PIN codes, covering locations such as Leh, Kargil, parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and several communities across the Northeast.
Flipkart is also strengthening support for its Wishmasters through term life insurance, personal accident cover, mediclaim benefits and a Doctor on Call service. This festive season, delivery partners can also access joining and retention bonuses and referral incentives.
AI-powered verification through the Flipkart Delivery Partners app has reduced onboarding time to under 10 minutes, while the app also provides training to help new delivery partners understand service standards before their first shift.

This year, a customer in Leh or Kargil will experience Big Billion Days for the first time. Across Ekart and Flipkart Minutes, we now operate over 8,200 facilities, allowing us to take the festive experience to more customers while helping sellers reach buyers they could not reach before.”
The festive season is set to generate more than 2.5 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities through Flipkart, including nearly 75,000 positions for first-time workforce entrants. Around 60% of these opportunities are in last-mile delivery, driven by the demand for faster deliveries and the expansion of Flipkart Minutes across Tier II and III markets.
