Expanding its footprint in Eastern India, Burger Singh has launched a new outlet in Howrah. This development marks a key step in the brand’s growth strategy and reinforces its focus on tapping high density urban markets with rising demand for quality quick service dining.
Situated in one of West Bengal’s busiest urban centres, the outlet is well positioned to serve a diverse mix of students, working professionals, and families. With strong footfall, evolving consumer preferences, and its proximity to Kolkata, Howrah represents a strategic addition to the brand’s regional expansion roadmap.
Building on its growth momentum in Eastern India, Burger Singh is further strengthening its presence in a region that has shown strong traction for its flavour forward, India centric offerings. The new outlet will feature the brand’s signature range of burgers, including popular choices such as Nikku Singh, Churmur Pandey, Chunky Paneer Pandey, and Amritsari Murgh Makhani, delivering the consistent taste and quality the brand is known for across the country.
Speaking on the expansion, PV Bhargav, Chief of Staff at Burger Singh said, “We’re seeing strong momentum for our brand across Eastern India, and Howrah is a natural extension of that growth. As a dense and evolving market, it offers the right mix of demand and scalability. Our focus remains on expanding in cities where we can build both strong consumer connects and sustainable unit economics.”
Strengthening its foothold in Eastern India, Burger Singh now operates six outlets across West Bengal, underlining the state’s strategic importance in its regional growth plans. The market offers significant long term potential, with scope for up to 80 additional outlets driven by rising demand across both metro and non metro locations. Within the state, Kolkata remains a priority market, where the brand currently has three outlets and sees potential to expand to around 20 locations across key neighbourhoods and high footfall commercial zones in the coming years.
Anchored in a franchise first approach, the brand continues to scale efficiently by building a structured platform for restaurant expansion. Its low capex and high efficiency formats support faster market entry and operational agility. Today, Burger Singh operates over 200 outlets across more than 100 cities in India and continues to expand through its owner partner franchise model. Following its recent Series B fundraise, the company is further strengthening its expansion pipeline while investing in a more robust and scalable franchise ecosystem.
With the Howrah outlet now operational, the brand continues to advance its vision of building a nationwide quick service restaurant network centred on bold Indian flavours, accessible pricing, and sustainable growth.
