The funding will be used to bolster Agilitas’ manufacturing capabilities, expand its retail footprint, strengthen brand-building initiatives, and enhance technology infrastructure as it scales its integrated sportswear platform.

Agilitas Sports has raised Rs 225 crore in fresh capital, securing a Rs 200 crore follow-on investment from Nexus Venture Partners and an additional Rs 25 crore from Rainmatter by Zerodha, as the company accelerates its ambitions in India’s sportswear and retail market.

The funding will be used to bolster Agilitas’ manufacturing capabilities, expand its retail footprint, strengthen brand-building initiatives, and enhance technology infrastructure as it scales its integrated sportswear platform. The latest infusion comes after the company raised Rs 100 crore from Nexus Venture Partners and Rs 400 crore from funds advised by Convergent Finance LLP in 2023.

The company’s investor roster also includes Virat Kohli, who invested Rs 40 crore in Agilitas, alongside Anushka Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Hardy Sandhu, and Abhishek Sharma. In 2025, the company further broadened ownership through an internal investment round involving 58 employees.

Agilitas has significantly expanded its manufacturing operations since acquiring footwear maker Mochiko Shoes in 2023. Revenue from the business has more than doubled from Rs 642 crore in FY23 to Rs 1,350 crore in FY26. The company currently manufactures products for its own labels as well as partner sports footwear brands.

The company has also strengthened its brand portfolio. In July 2025, it introduced Italian sportswear brand Lotto in India and is preparing to launch One8, the performance sportswear brand co-created with Virat Kohli, on June 21, 2026.

On the retail front, Agilitas has entered the multi-brand sports retail segment through Sportsyard, a large-format concept featuring brands such as Nike, adidas, New Balance, ASICS, Puma, and Skechers. Following its Bengaluru debut, the company plans to open 10 additional Sportsyard stores across the country this fiscal year.

Agilitas has also expanded its celebrity and athlete partnerships, appointing Sania Mirza as Brand Partner and Chief Advisor for Women’s Sport for Lotto, while Smriti Mandhana and Anushka Sharma have joined One8 as co-creators for women’s performance and yoga categories, respectively.

Commenting on the funding, Abhishek Ganguly, Co-Founder and CEO, Agilitas, said, “We started Agilitas with a simple but ambitious belief — India deserves a sportswear company that can build across the entire value chain, from manufacturing and product creation to brands and retail. This investment from Nexus and Rainmatter gives us the ability to accelerate that vision further. We are still early in the journey, but we believe India can play a far bigger role in shaping the future of global sportswear.”

Suvir Sujan, Co-Founder and Partner, Nexus Venture Partners, said, “Agilitas combines long-term ambition with strong execution. In a short period of time, the company has built meaningful scale in manufacturing, unlocked exciting brand opportunities and demonstrated early success in retail. We believe Agilitas is uniquely positioned to build an enduring sportswear platform from India.”

Nithin Kamath, Founder & CEO, Zerodha & Rainmatter, said, “At Rainmatter, we believe India will build large, enduring businesses in sports and fitness as more people take up movement and active lifestyles. Agilitas is building for that shift with a performance focused sportswear brand. The team brings deep experience across retail, supply chain, design, and R&D, and we’re happy to support them as they build a sports brand from India for the world.”

Founded by Abhishek Ganguly, Atul Bajaj, and Amit Prabhu, Agilitas Sports is a vertically integrated sportswear platform with operations spanning manufacturing, research and development, brand building, retail, and distribution.
