Acer forays into travel accessories with new luggage line

Acer is expanding into India’s travel accessories space with the introduction of a smart luggage collection as the company broadens its presence beyond core technology offerings into lifestyle categories.

The lineup features several series including Melbourne, Melbourne Plus, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Brisbane and Predator available in carry on, medium and large sizes for both short and long distance travel needs.

According to the company the range has been designed around functionality, durability and ease of movement with features such as expandable storage, organised compartments, spinner wheels and TSA approved locks across different models.

The Melbourne series features a multi-layer polycarbonate build with reinforced corners and telescopic handles while the Melbourne Plus range adds aluminium bumper protection along with expandable storage capacity. The Barcelona collection comes with a front opening format and dedicated laptop compartment while also incorporating recycled polyester materials.

The Copenhagen and Brisbane series are designed with dual opening structures to provide easier access during travel with the Brisbane line additionally offering expandable storage. Positioned at the premium end the Predator range includes reinforced polycarbonate frames tailored for frequent travellers.

Across the collection Acer has incorporated features such as silent 360 degree wheels ergonomic handles and secure locking mechanisms. Selected models also include compartmentalised interiors aimed at improving organisation.

Acer said sustainability remains a central focus for the collection with several products incorporating recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic waste.
