Zoomcar.in has raised its series seed round of capital from New York based Empire Angels. Additional investors who participated in the round include San Francisco based venture capital firm Funders Club, Basset Investment Group, Former US SEC Commissioner Lady Barbara Judge, and many other individual angels in India and around the world.
Graham Gullans, Co-founder and Managing Director of Empire Angels said, “Empire Angels has enthusiastically re-invested and led the Series Seed round for Zoom. They have excelled operationally, proving both local demand and management's capability to deliver results".
"We see a lot of high growth businesses coming out of Silicon Valley. ZoomCar has been an astonishing growth story even by those standards and is well positioned to dominate the Indian car rentals market," said FundersClub CEO Alex Mittal.
This round of capital will be used primarily to scale Zoom’s fleet in Bangalore, and to develop technology that improves operations and customer experience.
