Exploiting the large yet untapped Small Medium Enterprise (SME) sector in the booming Indian eCommerce space, Smesauda.com, a recently launched first of its kind web portal focuses on providing deals and discounts to across a wide range of IT and business products and services for SMEs. The online store offer discounted prizes and attractive deals to SMEs through the concept of collective or group buying. The portal also facilitates SMEs taking informed buying decision through their independent vendor reviews, vendor directory and expert advice.

The site houses an expansive list of products and services which have never been sold online. The product category include computers, networking equipments, printers, software’s, security devices, office equipments while the service categories provide for equipment rental, information technology and web services, telecommunication, accounting, shipping and freight, printing and HR services.  The other upcoming categories are office furniture, warehousing services, and advertising and PR.  Offering a comprehensive solution to the various needs and requirements of SMEs, the business model of Smesauda.com is positioned in a manner that benefits both the vendors as well as the buyers.

The initiative has been designed to act as a one stop shop for all SME needs. The website also proposes information and advice from experts on various problems that SMEs faces. The founder of Smesauda.com, Priyankar Baid, is an engineer from IIT Roorkee and has done his MBA from ISB Hyderabad. A successful entrepreneur, with a finance and outsourcing venture, has extensive experience working with small and medium business helping them secure financing from domestic and foreign financial institutions.
