Anandiben Patel will hold her first meeting today with all the vice chancellors of the various universities.
To understand the issues related to universities in Gujarat, Anandiben Patel, States’ Chief Minister will be holding her first meeting today with all the vice chancellors of the various universities. The meeting will be chaired by Education Minister, Bhupendrasinh Chudasma and Patel. The meeting is held to understand the issues related to semester system and reason behind delay in declaring results. It will also discuss the issues related to shortage of staff in universities and their requirements. Due to semester system, universities are often find conducting examinations and checking the papers.
It is worth recalling that the Chief Minister had at a function of Baba Saheb Ambedkar University has in her speech commented that there was a delay in declaring the results, the vice chancellors of the Gujarat University were seen moving under security cover. This reveals the sorry of state of education she had commented.
Vice chancellor of various universities has been instructed to prepare a detail of the political scene in his respective university as in today’s meeting there will be review of the political scenario in each of University.
It is likely that meeting will also discuss the possibility of starting vocational courses in the state university. UGC officials in the meeting with the VCs recently had stated the universities in the state were not willing to start new vocational courses.
