Aimed at enhancing India-Sichuan Economic, Trade Exchanges & Cooperation for the purpose of establishing a long-term mutually beneficial relation, Sichuan's CCIC (China Chamber of International Commerce) and Gujarat's CITIC (China India Trade & Investment Centre) have agreed to sign a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on January 11, 2015 at Vibrant Gujarat.
Both parties agree to exercise their best efforts to develop and strengthen the economic and trade cooperation in information, interactive transmission of both trade and investment management policies, economic situation, market demand and supply and major economic and trade activities information.
The focus will be in sectors like - Agriculture machinery, Seeding technology, Food processing, Thermal/hydro power stations, IT, Energy saving technology, Electronics, Women garments & footwear, Furniture, Construction material, Buddhist tourism circuit, Innovation centre, Banking relations, Direct flight between Chengdu & Ahmedabad etc.

Internationalised platform will be built for both corporations to introduce products, get acquainted with merchants to achieve cooperation through web link, economic and trade promotion and match-making event. A Buddhist circuit link will be developed between Gujarat & Sichuan under the MoU.
Further, the release also mentioned that one party would be offering advice and guidance to the other party, while the later will carry out the economic and trade activities at each others place.
