Mr. Rati Kant launched Gelato Da Vinci (natural Italian ice cream) in Hoshiarpur in September 2013. Gelato da Vinci is already supplying to various café and restaurants in Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Gelato da Vinci is in the process to open outlets in various malls in Ludhiana and Amritsar and it will open its first outlet in Delhi very soon.  It’s already known to entire Punjab as well as few parts of Delhi as Gelato da Vinci is in catering industry since the beginning and supplying its products to all most all caterers and resorts in Punjab and few of Delhi also.

  • Gelato is an Italian word which means Ice Cream
  • Though Gelato is made from the same ingredients as Ice Cream viz. Milk, cream, stabilizer and sugar but it’s different from Ice Cream.
  • It is made from original ingredients with no synthetic essences and colours.
  • Gelato is a healthy food as it contains protein, calcium, carbohydrates and almost all vitamins.
  • As gelato uses more milk than cream so it has lower fat content of 3-4 percent as compared to other industrial Ice Cream which has 10 percent or more.
  • It has only 35 percent over run which means it has more product and less air content as compared to industrial Ice Cream which 80 – 100 percent over run. Gelato is sold by weight and not by volume like other Ice Cream.
  • Gelato is freshly made daily to ensure that it is always fresh but industrial Ice Cream manufactured and stored indefinitely.
  • It is served at a higher temperature which does not sting the mouth.
  • Gelato is 100% vegetarian.
  • Sorbet is made from fresh fruit, sugar and water. It has no milk, cream and it is suitable for lactose intolerant people. Sorbet has 0% fat.

Franchise Concept:

We are interested in franchising our concept nationwide. The franchise model is very simple and is as follows:

  • The franchisee does not to pay any franchise fee.
  • The franchisee has to find a suitable location on the ground floor of a market or mall/food court which has high foot falls. The area could be a minimum of 50 sq ft.
  • The size of display cabinet varies from 12 flavours to 28 flavours depending on the size of the outlet. The price of the cabinet varies accordingly.
  • The interiors of the outlet have to be done by the franchisee including brandings. The design has to be as like as franchisor’s model.
  • All investment towards equipment will be borne by the franchisee.
  • All expenses to run the outlet viz. rent, electricity, staff salary and day to day maintenance have to be borne by the franchisee.
  • The gelato is supplied by the franchisor to the franchisee at a cost that is MRP less a certain discount which works as a healthy and profitable margin for the franchisee.
  • The gelato will be delivered to the outlet by the franchisor.
  • The franchisee will place orders 48 hours in advance and the shelf life of product is 7 days in case of gelato and 4 days in case of sorbet.
  • The franchisor will provide technical know-how and assistance to the franchisee during the duration of the agreement. The franchisor will bear the cost for the first time and after this the franchisee has to be borne the expenses viz. Conveyance, fooding, lodging and remuneration.
