
Kavindra Mishra, Executive Director and CEO of Shoppers Stop, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Intercontinental Group of Department Stores (IGDS), marking a significant step for Indian retail leadership on the global stage.
Mishra announced the appointment via his official LinkedIn profile, describing the opportunity as a “privilege” and a testament to Shoppers Stop’s evolving international relevance. IGDS, headquartered in Switzerland, is the world’s largest association of department stores, representing 44 major retail brands worldwide. Founded in 1946, the organisation promotes collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among leading retailers.
With over two decades of experience in fashion and lifestyle retail, Mishra has held key leadership positions at House of Anita Dongre, Pepe Jeans, ABFRL, Benetton, and Arvind. Since taking over as ED & CEO of Shoppers Stop in September 2023, he has led the brand through a renewed focus on fashion and beauty, post-pandemic recovery, and nationwide expansion.
