Oben Electric has successfully raised ₹100 crore in its Series A funding, bringing total funding to ₹200 crore. The company will utilize the funds to expand its retail network across India.

Electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has successfully completed its Series A funding round, securing ₹100 crore. The company raised ₹50 crore in January 2025 and an additional ₹50 crore in May 2025 through the extended Series A round, bringing its total funding to ₹200 crore so far.

The extended round saw participation from Helios Holdings, Sharda Family Office, Kay Family, and other existing investors. The company plans to utilize these funds to open over 150 showrooms across 50 cities by FY26, develop its upcoming O100 platform for electric motorcycles priced under ₹1 lakh, and strengthen its Bengaluru-based manufacturing facility.

Following the initial Series A funding, Oben Electric has already launched 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, including key markets like Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

Oben Electric's Founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal said, "This funding reflects investor confidence in our growth trajectory. It will help us scale our retail presence and accelerate new product development."

Oben Electric operates as a vertically integrated manufacturer, producing its electric motorcycles as well as key components like batteries, motors, vehicle control units, and home fast chargers. The company runs a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Jigani, Bengaluru, with a capacity of 100,000 units per year, supported by a strong network of over 150 suppliers.

The company flagship product, Oben Rorr EZ, is priced from ₹99,999 and offers 0-40 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds, a top speed of 95 km/h, and a range of up to 175 km on a single charge. Oben Electric is also the first in India to use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology in the electric two-wheeler segment.

Founded in August 2020 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Oben Electric holds over 25 patents and is backed by a founding team with over 25 years of experience in electric vehicle research and development.

Looking ahead, the company plans to raise $30 million (around ₹250 crore) in Series B funding in 2025 to support international market expansion and further scale production capacity. Oben Electric is positioning itself as an emerging leader in India's rapidly growing electric motorcycle market.
