“India is one of the most exciting markets in the world for us right now,” said Henry Stupp, President, EMEA-India at Authentic, which owns Lucky Brand’s intellectual property. He added that the company sees the importance of building a strong local presence for the brand in fast-growing markets.
Founded three decades ago, Lucky Brand is known for its California-inspired style and craft-led denim for men and women. Its India entry has been timed to coincide with the festive shopping season and follows a phase of rapid international expansion, along with collaborations with global celebrities such as Addison Rae in 2025 and Charlie Puth in 2026.
Sanjeet Mehta, EVP, India, Lifestyle and Entertainment at Authentic, said Lucky Brand has arrived in India at the right time. “A new generation here is drawn to authenticity, heritage, and denim with a real point of view which is exactly what Lucky stands for,” he said, adding that Confluxe understands both the brand and the Indian market.
Bengaluru-based Confluxe Retail is a technology-led commerce company that brings international fashion and lifestyle brands to India, including Brazilian label Urban Performance. It was founded by Rajesh Narkar, who has held leadership roles at Myntra and Ajio, and Louis Coucke, who previously worked with H&M India. The company is backed by Wavemaker Partners and Kriscore Capital.
“Denim in India has evolved from an everyday staple into a statement of individuality,” said Rajesh Narkar, CEO and Co-founder, Confluxe Retail. He said Lucky Brand offers the mix of vintage California cool and modern comfort that Indian consumers are looking for, and that Confluxe is proud to partner with Authentic to bring the label to India.
