Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has appointed Aasif Malbari as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Sudhir Sitapati, who has resigned from the position with immediate effect.
The leadership change comes just around three months after Sitapati was reappointed as GCPL’s MD and CEO in May 2026 for a further five-year term. His new tenure was scheduled to begin on October 18, 2026 and run through October 17, 2031.
Malbari will now take charge as the consumer products company looks to maintain its growth momentum and strengthen its position across its key markets.
Sitapati’s resignation brings an early end to his leadership tenure at GCPL, despite his recent reappointment for another five years.
