
The Entrepreneur India EV 2025 show kicked off with great enthusiasm, bringing together prominent business leaders, government officials, and technology innovators from the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The participants engaged in high-level discussions focused on accelerating India’s transition towards electric mobility.
The event opened with remarks from Franchise India CEO Ashita Marya, who said, “India is moving rapidly towards an electric future. In the coming years, the EV market will grow significantly. This conference isn’t just about talking—it’s about taking action together.”
The keynote speech was delivered by Tin Hang Liu, CEO of Open Energy, who emphasized the crucial role of fast-charging infrastructure in making EVs more accessible to the public. He highlighted that rapid and easy charging is essential for wider EV adoption.
A special panel discussion followed, where government officials, companies, and tech experts shared strategies to expand EV reach across the country.
Dr. Anita Gupta, Scientist and Advisor at the Department of Science and Technology, said, “We must work together to ensure that technology benefits not just urban areas but also rural regions.”
Padmashri Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, Ex-Advisor, Ministry of power, Professor- IIT Madras, noted, “Replacing petrol with electricity isn’t enough. We need to rethink the entire mobility system in a smarter and more efficient way.” One of the highlights of the day was the release of a special report by Frost & Sullivan titled “Transformative Trends in the Indian Electric Vehicle Market – 2025 & Beyond.”
Prajyot N. Sathe, Research Director, Frost & Sullivan shared that India is expected to sell over 700,000 EVs annually by 2030. However, achieving this requires strong local manufacturing, dense charging networks, and advanced battery innovations.
