Flipkart Strengthens Tech Leadership with Vinay Vaidya Appointment

Flipkart has strengthened its technology leadership with the appointment of Vinay Vaidya as Senior Vice President of Technology for Supply Chain, as the e-commerce major sharpens its focus on AI-led innovation, platform development and logistics capabilities.

In his new role, Vaidya will oversee technology and platform functions across fulfilment services, seller experience, trust and safety, and marketplace operations. He will also lead efforts to enhance logistics efficiency and accelerate the adoption of AI-driven solutions across the company's supply chain ecosystem.

Vaidya joins Flipkart from Tata Digital, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and led technology strategy, platform modernisation and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he spent nearly two decades at Amazon, contributing to the development of core capabilities across marketplace operations, the seller ecosystem, payments, search and discovery, and Amazon India. His experience spans product development, engineering, customer experience and supply chain across multiple business categories, including grocery.

The appointment is part of Flipkart's broader effort to reinforce its technology leadership. Earlier this year, the company expanded its senior technology team with the appointments of Goda Ramkumar as Vice President, Data Science and AI Solutions; Mohan Palisetti as Vice President, Fintech and Payments Engineering; Nitesh Jain as Distinguished Architect; Smita Ojha as Vice President, Core Platform Engineering; and Amit Sharma as Vice President, Program Management. The leadership additions reflect Flipkart's continued investment in strengthening its technology and innovation capabilities.
