CaratLane Sets Sights on UK and Australia After US Gains
The company has been exploring overseas markets as part of its broader growth strategy, with the US becoming an important part of its international business.

CaratLane is looking at Australia and the UK as potential markets for its next phase of international expansion, following a positive response to its US operations. The Tata Group-backed jewellery retailer currently has stores in New Jersey and Texas.

The company has been exploring overseas markets as part of its broader growth strategy, with the US becoming an important part of its international business. Earlier this year, CaratLane opened its second US store in Frisco, Texas, following its entry into New Jersey.

The retailer is also continuing its aggressive expansion in India. CaratLane currently operates more than 388 stores across the country and plans to add another 40–50 outlets in FY27. It is also looking to strengthen its presence in eastern India, with five to seven new stores planned in the region over the coming months.

CaratLane recorded 42% growth in the first quarter of FY27, while its buyer base grew 28%. The company sees international markets as an additional growth opportunity alongside its continued investment in the domestic retail network.

The overseas push marks another step in CaratLane’s transition from an online-first jewellery business to an omnichannel retailer. While the US remains its current international market, the performance of its existing stores and demand potential in Australia and the UK will influence its next moves.
