Quick Commerce Enabler Inamo Secures $3 Mn Seed Funding to Expand Dark Store Network
Founded in 2024 by Sumit Anand and Rupesh Thakare, Inamo provides full-stack solutions to help businesses launch and scale dark store operations.

Quick commerce infrastructure startup Inamo has raised $3 million (INR 26.5 crore) in a seed funding round aimed at accelerating its expansion across India’s booming q-commerce sector. The round was led by Shastra VC, with additional participation from Antler India, Gemba Capital, and Scope Promoters.

Founded in 2024 by Sumit Anand (former VP at Dunzo) and Rupesh Thakare (former product head at ApnaKlub), Inamo provides full-stack solutions to help businesses launch and scale dark store operations. Its offerings include technology for dark store management, last-mile delivery fleets, and operational support for quick commerce platforms.

The startup currently operates over 50 dark stores across six metro cities, backed by a dedicated last-mile logistics fleet. Inamo positions itself as an independent infrastructure layer for the quick commerce ecosystem, partnering with platforms, brands, and FMCG companies to streamline delivery and logistics.

“Inamo is building the independent infrastructure layer that powers on-demand commerce for platforms, brands, and FMCG companies,” said Avijeeth Alagathi, Managing Partner at Shastra VC.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Inamo’s dark store footprint, enhance its technology stack, and grow its team.

India’s quick commerce sector is experiencing explosive growth. According to Inc42, the market is expected to grow from $6.1 billion in 2024 to $40 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 37%—nearly double the growth rate of the broader e-commerce industry.

Currently, the market is dominated by heavyweights Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto, which collectively delivered goods worth INR 64,000 crore in FY25, according to a report by CareEdge Ratings.

However, the sector’s rapid expansion is also opening up opportunities for emerging players like Inamo, which are carving out niche segments within the quick commerce value chain. Similar trends have been seen with startups like FirstClub, founded in 2024 by former Cleartrip CEO Ayyappan Rajagopal, targeting premium grocery deliveries in under 10 minutes.

With investor confidence rising and market dynamics rapidly evolving, Inamo is betting on infrastructure-led enablement as the next big opportunity in India’s quick commerce revolution.
