India’s leading lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, Limelight Lab Grown Diamonds, has announced a significant growth push featuring a major expansion plan and a proposed ₹250 crore fundraise to accelerate its retail and supply-chain ambitions.
The Mumbai-headquartered brand said the fresh capital will support its vertical integration into in-house diamond growing and manufacturing capabilities, reducing reliance on external suppliers and strengthening control over costs, quality and product rollout timelines. The move aims to solidify Limelight’s position as India’s first fully integrated lab-grown diamond jewellery company, offering end-to-end “rocks to retail” operations.
Founded in 2019 by Pooja Madhavan, Limelight is already one of the most recognised names in the fast-growing lab-grown diamond (LGD) segment, with an expanding retail network spanning more than 90 touchpoints, including over 50 exclusive outlets and 40 shop-in-shop formats across 45+ cities.
The brand’s aggressive expansion blueprint includes plans to grow its store count to 200 locations by 2027, while boosting design innovation and consumer engagement across markets. Limelight’s strategy leverages sustainability, transparency, and contemporary design to appeal to a rising generation of jewellery buyers seeking ethical and affordable alternatives to natural diamonds.
According to industry data, the lab-grown diamond sector in India is rapidly gaining traction as shoppers increasingly choose environmentally conscious and cost-effective options. Limelight’s new fundraising and integration strategy could further strengthen its competitive edge in this evolving category.
The brand’s leadership said the expanded capabilities and capital infusion mark a defining moment in its journey toward becoming a global player in fine jewellery.
