Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, one of India’s leading mid-scale and premium hotel chains, has announced the signing of its 11th property in Punjab — Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Kurali, Kharar — and the launch of its second property in Bihar, Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari. Strengthening its footprint across North and East India, the group continues to expand strategically across both established and emerging markets.

The newly signed Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Kurali, Kharar will operate under a franchise agreement and aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers with Lemon Tree’s signature blend of comfort, affordability, and vibrant hospitality. Situated in the fast-growing Kurali area within Kharar tehsil of Mohali district, the hotel enjoys proximity to Chandigarh and benefits from excellent connectivity and rapid urban development. The property will feature 38 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, banquet and conference facilities, and a fitness centre. It is located approximately 31 kilometres from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport and 30 kilometres from Chandigarh Railway Station, ensuring convenient access from major cities across North India. Commenting on the development, Mr. Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said that the signing highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Punjab, where it currently operates two hotels and has eight more in the pipeline. He added that as the region evolves into a vibrant residential and commercial hub, the new property will deliver Lemon Tree’s hallmark warmth and service.

In a parallel expansion, Lemon Tree Hotels also announced the launch of its second property in Bihar — Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, which opened on October 31, 2025. Located in the historic city of Motihari in East Champaran district, the hotel reflects the region’s cultural and historical importance as the birthplace of author George Orwell and the starting point of Mahatma Gandhi’s Champaran Satyagraha. The property features 50 well-appointed rooms and suites across various categories, designed for comfort and functionality. Of these, 32 rooms, along with the multi-cuisine restaurant Citrus Café, banquet spaces (Tangerine Grand 1, Tangerine Grand 2, and a Boardroom), a spa, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool, have been unveiled in the first phase. The remaining 18 rooms and Kebab Theater, a modern Indian speciality restaurant, as well as an additional banquet space (Tangerine), will open in the second phase.

Speaking about the launch, Mr. Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, “Motihari stands as a city of deep historical and cultural relevance, marking an important chapter in India’s independence movement. With the opening of Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, we are pleased to extend our signature comfort and warmth to travellers visiting this iconic destination, blending modern hospitality with the city’s timeless charm.”

Together, these two developments underscore Lemon Tree Hotels’ continued growth momentum and its commitment to offering high-quality, value-driven hospitality experiences across India’s key business and leisure destinations.
