Aankush Sharrma Takes Charge as Accor’s Development Head for India & South Asia

Accor has appointed Aankush Sharrma as Director of Development for India & South Asia. In this role, he will spearhead strategic expansion and portfolio growth across the region for one of the world’s leading hospitality groups.

Based in Gurugram, Aankush will concentrate on unlocking high-potential markets, deepening relationships with hotel owners, and accelerating brand expansion across the South Asian region. He joins after an accomplished nearly nine-year stint at Sarovar Hotels, where he most recently served as Director of Development – Brand Expansion & Pre-Opening, leading multiple property launches and driving the group’s regional growth.

Prior to this, Aankush built a strong mix of operational and corporate leadership experience. He served internationally as General Manager at Ramee Rose Hotel, where he drove market share growth and operational excellence. Earlier in his career, he held key leadership roles at Choice Hotels International, Ascot Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, and InterContinental Hotels Group, progressing from Management Trainee to Assistant Manager.

Bringing together deep on-ground operational expertise with a proven track record in brand expansion and development strategy, Aankush now leads Accor’s growth roadmap across India and South Asia.
