The MSME task force submitted its report to the Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh on Saturday. The task force has recommended changes in the policies to help the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) of the country to develop.
While responding to the report submitted by the task force Dr Singh said that the country needs thriving, vibrant and strong enterprises in the micro, small and medium segment for all round economic development.
The task force headed by Mr TKA Nair has suggested that the MSMEs in the country need immediate help especially in the aftermath of recession. It has also suggested setting up of appropriate legal and regulatory structures to create a conducive environment for entrepreneurship and growth of MSMEs.
The Prime Minister asked MSME Minister Dinsha Patel to take the lead and spearhead policy reform for this sector.
