Wegilant Net Solutions Pvt Ltd, an IIT-Bombay incubated Company for Appvigil, a cloud based Android App Security Scanner has raised Rs 1 crore ($160,000).
Some of the renowned investors of the industry along-with a well known Indian security company participating as strategic investor, which has contributed major funds, Ravi Gururaj, Gaurav Sharma, Viswanath Ramachandran, SINE IITB have backed us on this journey.
“The funds will be used in strengthening the product and team,” said Toshendra Sharma, Founder, CEO, Wegilant.
Wegilant is an initiative of IIT Bombay students & IIM Alumnus. Led by IITian, Toshendra Sharma, the team of IT security specialists offers education, consulting and implementation to small, mid and large sizes businesses.
Toshendra founded Wegilant in November 2011 while pursuing his Masters in Computers in IIT Bombay. Toshendra has been heading the team as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this, Toshendra co-founded Robosapiens Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in the year 2008. Later, he successfully exited the company which operates in embedded systems domain.
