In order to grow faster, Primaseller has raised a second round of funding from Mumbai Angels. The round was led by Dr Aniruddha Malpani with participation from Kishore Ganji and others. The funds will be used to increase the number of online channels offered and to build a stronger customer base. The team will now relocate to Bangalore to capitalise on the better product ecosystem there.
Mohammed Ali, Founder and CEO is now also joined full-time by his friend and fellow NIT Surathkal alumnus Vivek Subramanian as Co-founder and CTO. Also joining the core team is Engineering Lead Rahul Shekhar, Vivek’s partner from their previous startup Frintit, incubated by Excelerate Labs, Chicago. An MBA from IIM Lucknow and a Rocket Internet alumnus, Ali has extensive experience in online retail, supply chain as well as technology. Vivek was working at AdatpTv last which was recently acquired by AOL.
Started in 2013, Primaseller was accelerated at 91Springboard, Delhi and has quickly built up considerable traction. Its product is already transforming the way hundreds of retailers approach omni-channel sales. It aims to provide a complete backend that synchronizes product, inventory and order data across multiple channels through a single interface.

How Primaseller Works
Given the rapid pace of growth of online sellers in India, and with more than a million small retailers who want to sell both online and offline in the next couple of years, Primaseller is well timed to aggressively capture the seller enabler market. Other startups focusing on similar areas are Unicommerce and Browntape.
“By helping small retailers become more productive, Primaseller helps them to compete more effectively with the big boys. The technology has been customized to solve the migraine problems of India’s small and medium retailers and will help these entrepreneurs thrive in today’s digital world," said Malpani.
