Union textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar has announced that the new National Textile Policy will be unveiled after the Union Budget. The Budget 2015-16 is slated to be announced next month.

The new improved Textile Policy aims to address concerns of adequate skilled work force, labour reforms, attract investments in the textile sector, and to provide a future road map for the textile and clothing industry.
The Minister inaugurated the Tex-Trends India 2015 today at Pragati Maidan here. It features over 403 exhibitors and displays diverse range of products from the entire length and breadth of the country. Over 1,600 buyers and 117 buying agents have already registered for the Fair.
