InnerChef has commenced operations in Gurgaon and it plans to expand to three metros-Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Rajesh Sawhney, founder of GSF Accelerator has launched InnerChef, a food tech company along with 4 other founders.
InnerChef has a team of five co-founders Rajesh Sawhney, Bal, Heena Karia Thakkar, Uday Bansal and Rahul Samat.
Rajesh Sawhney is a serial entrepreneur and has built multiple successful businesses. He is the founder of GSF Accelerator and Global Superangels Fund, Founding President of Reliance Entertainment and Founding Architect of Times Internet. Bal is the founder of DiGhent Cafe, an award winning, successful and fast growing bistro and boulangerie in NCR.
Heena Karia Thakkar is a professional chef. She comes with 5 years of M&A consulting experience with KPMG in Chicago. Uday Bansal founded Skybulls, which allowed people to trade in a fantasy stock market. Rahul Samat was a product manager at Barclays in New York for 4 years after his Masters from UPenn in Computer Science.

Our chefs shop for fresh ingredients, prepare exotic sauces and seasonings, package them to precise measurement with simple recipe instructions to follow. With InneChef, you experience the thrill of cooking and plating a dish that’s fresh and tasty within 10-20 minutes,” said, Uday Bansal, Co-founder, InnerChef.
“While InnerChef has commenced operations in Gurgaon, it plans to expand to three metros (Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore) in the coming quarter and cover the top 10 Indian cities with multiple kitchens within one year,” said Sawhney.
With the advent of Internet and mobile, the combination of Food and Tech is disrupting old business models and is creating new paradigms. According to recent estimates, over $2.3 billion has been invested in “Food+Tech” businesses so far of which $1.2 billion was invested in 2014 alone.
“Innerchef’s mission is to provide a new kitchen experience that is in sync with the needs of a “globally-aware” yet “time- poor” consumer,” said the company’s release.
