The availability of sanitary napkins in schools, colleges and public places has always been a challenge for women. Lack of safe disposal mechanisms also adds to the problem.

As a solution to the above issues, all locations may be advised to install sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators within their premises, based on the expected footfall. The guideline is to make available one set of equipment per 200 women users. To ensure the quality and standardization of the equipment’s to be installed, the technical specifications are attached herewith. It is expected that the various facility in-charges abide by these specifications while installation of the machines. Wherein they can provide facility to the Girls / women.

The idea behind this proposal is to ensure promotion of Female Hygiene and Health by increasing usage of quality Sanitary Napkins, to prevent many diseases arising out of use of cloths/other unhygienic practices during menstruation or even non usage of Sanitary Napkins.

Similarly, disposal of used Sanitary Napkins is also one of the major concern area. Another aspect of this proposal is to promote awareness for safe and Environment friendly disposal of used napkins pads to prevent major health hazards that is caused by throwing the used napkin pad in open causing bacteria in spread in very fast manner. 

We are working in the field of Menstrual Hygiene Management and would like to propose the following in all schools, college and other public places which are frequented by women.

1. Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending machines for ensuring availability of Sanitary Napkins.
2. Installation of Sanitary Napkin Incinerators to incinerate (destroy) the used Sanitary Napkins.
