Our founder, Mr. Rajesh Rana, a.k.a. Raju Bhai, started this business 35 years ago. He started Raju Omlet with a handcart in Karelibaug, Vadodara, running it in the evening after his day job at a printing press. A few years later, he made it his full-time business.
Raju Bhai still goes to his Karelibaug outlet and interacts with the customers daily. Sometimes he even prepares the food for the customers himself, just out of his love for cooking.
Raju Bhai had initially started serving basic egg dishes like omelets and bhurji (scrambled eggs). But at present, our delicacies now include a variety of egg dishes that have been experimented with and invented by Raju Bhai himself over a period of time. Raju Bhai says,
