DIGI GRAM Scheme
DIGI GRAM is meant for the front-end delivery points for Government, private and social sector services and products to citizens in India. The idea is to develop a platform that can enable private and social sector organizations to integrate their social and commercial goods for the benefit of rural and urban population of IT as well as non-IT services.
DIGI GRAM Structure
DIGI GRAM Project implementation and operational structure is a four layered structure in each state, that includes State Level Agency (SLA), District Level Agency (DLA), Taluk Level Agency (TLA) and Ward Level Operato (DGO- Digital Gram Operator).
Why DIGIGRAM in India?
The rural India consists of about 650,000 villages with 800 million consumers, making up for about 70 per cent of population with limited or no access to banking and other Technology. The DIGIGRAM primarily offer digital literacy, digital services, information services, citizen services and business development services to create information-rich society under a sustainable model. DIGIGRAM is a flagship project for providing access to the digital world by creating the basic digital infrastructure all over India.
